Richard and his team are experts at large scale event and conference yoga, having organised and taught yoga at some of London’s biggest events.
Indoor or outdoor, we can adapt to suit the dynamics of your event. We have taught mindfulness to 100 delegates at conferences, curated bespoke classes for festivals, organised our own multi-teacher yoga events, taught on an artificial beach in Camden and in central London train stations!
At residential conferences it’s the ultimate way to shake off the morning cobwebs or post lunch slumber with an some light, accessible yoga, mindfulness or relaxation.
Richard and his stellar team (often in their previous incarnation of Creative Yoga London) have bought mindful joy and connection to hundreds at some of London’s biggest and most creative yoga events, including
Yoga Rave London (3 yoga teachers, sound bath, DJ and 5 Rhythms dance!)
The Yoga at Morning Gloryville
The Yoga at ITV’s Text Santa appeal
The internationally featured and award nominated Singles Yoga
The legendary summer sessions on Camden Roundhouse Beach
Their speciality is delivering accessible but potent and progressive yoga that appeals to everyone in attendance, and creating community and rapport. They love teaching big events with a wide range of skill levels but Richard’s mantra is clear….
A true yoga master is someone who can facilitate each student in the class to feel they have the same deeply immersed yogic experience no matter what their physical capacity. Anything else is just exercise.
Light, accessible yoga, mindfulness and deep relaxation can provide the perfect antidote to mentally strenuous intellect driven workshops.
Yoga and related practices have been linked with ‘super learning’ – priming the mind and nervous system to be receptive to new information. With this in mind it is possible to be infinitely creative with integrating yoga and mindfulness into your workshop or conference. If you are in the business of imparting information their is always a place for making the recipients more receptive!
For example Richard taught yoga and mindfulness as part of Education expert Tanya Moore’s accelerated learning language courses. The yoga and breathwork sessions were integrated into the workshop programmes at regular intervals in order to keep participants fresh and engaged.
As people age, a tendency can develop to learn through abstract concepts and ideas that use the intellect, whereas in youth learning happened more so through direct sensory experience. This was because the nervous system was more receptive and pliable to input, and Yoga reawakens that receptivity and directs awareness down into your body. This in turn re-initialises the ability to learn and be directly receptive to input again increasing the efficiency of the learning process.
